home care servicesIn California, people can call themselves “Care Managers” without meeting any qualifications.  This is why the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers has implemented a certification program which establishes strict guidelines.  A Certified Geriatric Care Manager (CMC) credential requires a Bachelor’s degree with specific coursework and training in geriatrics and includes an examination administered by the National Academy of Certified Case Managers.  They must also complete continuing education classes and follow a strict Code of Ethics to maintain their professional status. Because In-Home Care is an unregulated industry in California, you need a real professional on your side to help you navigate through the challenging transitions growing older brings.

HomeLife Partners professional Geriatric Care Management is a holistic, client-centered approach to caring for older adults or disabled persons.  Our goal is to improve our client’s quality of life and reduce family stress.  Our Geriatric Care Managers become the “coach” to help families and clients through the transitions of getting older and often become an advocate, especially when the adult children don’t live locally.
