Beware of Cheap Rates for Caregiving…

Before You Place Your Family's Estate at Risk Read What you Need to Know about the Rules for Home Employees

Because of the dramatic increase in the payroll costs of operating in California and the lack of any licensing requirement, a number of companies that provide non-medical care in the home are operating in a very shady manner. By classifying their workers as “Independent Contractors” they can save 30-50% in required payroll deductions and insurance costs. It is Important to know that household workers and caregivers rarely, if ever, qualify as independent contractors.

Exceptional Caregivers & Companions

Hiring untrained domestic help directly is one option, but the consequences can be disturbing. An important part of our service is to insure that the Caregivers we provide are honest, caring, reliable people with good common sense. Before we even consider them for employment, we do extensive background checks which include scrutinizing driving records, searching for any criminal history, reviewing health histories and of course, speaking personally to all of their previous employers.

Easy Communication is an important Priority

To offer quality caregiving and to minimize any possible stress to our valued clients, and to assure their safety; all HomeLife Partners caregivers can speak and understand English.

Getting Around Town

To enjoy life in the Los Angeles area driving is truly a necessity. Most HomeLife Partners caregivers are licensed drivers and all car insurance is verified. Additionally, Homelife Partners carries additional automotive coverage for any car they are driving. Trips to the doctor, household errands, shopping or even a relaxing lunch at a beach side restaurant are just another part of our service.

Training & Specialties

Our Caregivers are trained by the renowned Celi Adams, founder and Director of the Center for Caregiver Training and recipient of the Rosalynn Carter Institute for Human Development’s 2001 Caregiving Award. We ensure that their backgrounds are impeccable from a legal, driving and health perspective. Many have advanced training as Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), Home Health Aids (HHAs), in Alzheimers, dementia, CPR and first aid.

And for those who are looking for companion caregivers to share your favorite hobbies, we have a wide variety of “specialists” in areas like gardening, cooking, needle point, pets, music, literature and more… just ask, if we don’t have the right person on staff to share your passion, we’ll find them, that’s a promise.

Comprehensive Insurance & Low Employee Turnover

Unlike employment agencies and services that use inexpensive “independent contractors”, HomeLife Partners only hires direct employees. The reason is simple, we can provide extensive insurance coverage for both our employees and our clients which is not possible under the other arrangements. It also results in a decrease in employee turnover as they are recognized as key contributors to our overall success and are rewarded accordingly.

HomeLife Partners has professional, commercial, medical, automotive and workman’s compensation insurance policies provided by Lloyds of London and The Hartford which exceed standard limitations in many cases. Certificates of Insurance are available by request at any time.

Our entire family is so thankful for the role Homelife Partners has played in our lives.
